Dan Abraham Thomas, Jr. was born to Dan and Georgia Thomas on July 2, 1978. His "wisdom beyond his years" was evident at an early age as the Lord's favor was upon him to excel in his academic and spiritual studies. From that time to the present the knowledge and wisdom that God has entrusted to Dan has impacted the lives of everyone he comes into contact with. As one person so amusingly put it, "He could preach a phonebook!" Dan came to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in the summer of 1983 at Revival Center Church of God in Christ in Wichita, KS, where Elder Larry Foster was serving as Pastor at the time. Dan accepted his call to preach in the Spring of 1998 shortly after his father fatally succumbed to two heart attacks and a stroke. This experience reminded Dan of a promise he had made the Lord long ago that he would "serve the Lord all the days of his life regardless of the assignment." That assignment turned out to be the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ and Dan preached his first sermon at Greater Sapp Institutional Church of God in Christ in Oklahoma City on December 27, 1998 under the leadership of Dr. Levi Lenley. While at Greater Sapp C.O.G.I.C. Dan was licensed to preach the gospel in the Spring of 2001 and was appointed President of the Brotherhood and served as a pastoral adjutant and Church Administrator. In the summer of 2001 Dan graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Langston University from the Edwin P. McCabe Honors Progarm. His senior year he had the distinct privilege of serving as Student Government President. Following graduation Dan worked as a Deputy Campaign Manager for Oklahoma State Representative Opio Toure for two years while attending Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa. Thought provoking, piercing, challenging, and inspiring are a few words that describe his preaching presentation. His preaching stirs the hearts of men and women everywhere as it has been said that his delivery reminds them of "preachers of old." Nevertheless, he maintains a fresh and relevant perspective of the Scriptures having broken free from the legalism of his Pentecostal roots while at the same time unwilling to compromise the standards of true holiness. D.R.E.A.M. Conference was birthed out of a time of extreme testing and trial. Having recently relocated to Los Angeles, CA, in the fall of 2002 Dan experienced not only a culture shock, but a spiritual reformation as well. During a time of unexpected transition God processed Dan through a series of events that humbled him under the mighty hand of God and Dan heard the voice of God speak to him in a vision saying, "Preach the gospel, it's time to harvest." That event prompted Dan to start a conference geared toward young adults that are lost in relativism and secular humanism and call them out of the matrix of the world system to Jesus Christ. He is uncompromising in his approach, unequivocal in his stand for Christ, and convinced that only the gospel of Jesus Christ (the death, burial, and resurrection) will bring true deliverance to mankind. Currently, Dan is attending Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA completing his Master's in Divinity. He was ordained in April 2004 and currently serves as Young Adult Minister at Brister Memorial Baptist Church in Compton, CA under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Cain. Dan resides in Los Angeles, CA with his wife Shasa and their daughter Acacia.
